10 Handmade Christmas Ornaments That Make Me Smile

Handmade Christmas Ornaments

Handmade Christmas ornaments are my favorite. They usually have a story. I love a good story.

Can you believe it’s November? I think it’s the weather. Seems more like May than November. Even though I feel like heading to the beach (dreaming), I’m starting to think of Christmas, especially my Christmas tree.

Christmas trees make me smile. I can’t help it, they just do. Even the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. The last couple of years I’ve made a few ornaments for the tree. They hang alongside my collection of vintage Shiny Brite ornaments.

I hand selected a few favorite handmade Christmas ornaments made by crafty friends….and me. These are the ornaments that make me smile.

The Chrismas tree ornaments are featured in this month’s Country Sampler’s Christmas Decorating special edition. I made the ornaments last year.

I had a collection of vintage cards and I also ordered more from eBay. The vintage cards have so much character. The ornaments can be put together in minutes. This would be a great project for the kids. If you don’t have any vintage cards just use new!

  1. Since I have a great love for anything “snowman”, I love the canning jar lid snowman. He is just gonna shine on my tree. That white will pop on the green branches.
    Love it!
