If you’re a regular visitor here you know how I love to go junkin’. I shop My Favorite Junk Shop several times a month and I go to the Nashville Flea Market every month. And every chance I get I hit the thrift stores. Crusty wood, rusty objects, vintage hardware, rhinestone jewelry, all call my name.
I also do a lot of furniture painting. It is what I love to do. But I also like going through my junk stash and throwing some craft projects together. No chalkboards this post, I promise!
three coat/jewelry/whatever hangers
I rummaged through my junk stash the other day and came up with some interesting things to work with. I had some old detail pieces that came off the top of furniture, crusty detailed molding, glass knobs from Habitat Restore, rusty star nails, wood appliques, brass screw in hangers, etc.
I painted two of the hangers black and then lightly distressed them. The white piece I left in it’s found state.
I used two saw tooth hangers on each one. I found out the hard way that putting one in the middle doesn’t work. You know why? Hang something light on one end and something heavy on the other end, you have a problem! I also put little round wall protectors on each one.
The wood applique fit perfectly in this spot. I think this piece with the glass knobs would be nice for jewelry, scarves, purses, etc.
Well that’s it folks,
Thanks for stopping by,
Come again,
Kathy
