I know
no staging
just pictures of my project on the drop cloth
how many paint colors do you think are on that drop cloth
Maybe I’ll have a contest one day like “guess the number of paint colors on the drop cloth”
I tried counting them one day, but finally gave up.
table before
table after
I used Reclaim Licorice and then distressed lightly. No priming or waxing with this paint.
Ya’ll know the distressing is my favorite part of the project.
This piece is going to a shop in downtown Clarksville, Fleur De Lis.
You might remember the display hutch I painted for Summer, the shop owner, last week.
short and sweet post

I love the color!!! The destressing is my fun part of the painting too! Your choice of color is great. I bet this one doesn’t last long at the shop at all
Happy Selling!
thanks Diane. A client of mine purchased this piece straight from my workshop and she chose the color. I delivered it today!!
Your color choice for that table was perfect! Love the shape of the table legs too!
Thanks Sharon, The shop owner I was painting this piece for choose the color, I can’t take credit. You know, black paint makes anything look good!
So this is MMS’s milk paint that you used? No waxing is needed? WOW – I got to get me some of this paint.
no this is Reclaim paint, not Miss Mustard Seed’s.
How do you get the black so perfect? I painted a little table black, and when I sanded it the entire thing turned gray!
Peggy, all I sanded on this piece was the edges. If you sand and it turns gray I would put some clear furniture wax on it and see if that didn’t bring the black color back.
Wonderful! I love black painted furniture. I especially like how you distressed it and the shape of the legs. Pinning.
Have a great weekend!
Angela
What a beautifully shaped table – and you completely transformed it with your magic!!!
Hope all is well Kathy

Such a pretty table and so sophisticated in black!
