Gateleg Table in fashionable Green for Spring

Isn’t this an in-your-face green. I love it.
I found this gateleg table at  This Old Place flea market last week. I love the detailed legs, great for distressing.


This color is one I mixed myself.


It’s definitely interesting painting a piece like this. Sometimes I get twisted up like a pretzel.


One of the gatelegs needed re-gluing.  It’s almost impossible to find old furniture that
doesn’t need a little repair work.  Bungee cords work great as clamps.  My friend Sara taught me this trick.


Getting ready for some heavy duty distressing and more body contortions.


I applied clear wax to protect the finish and give it a soft patina.




Isn’t she pretty.
