Vintage Frames in Black and Gold with Burlap Accents

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

Hi Guys,

More frames?  Surely not you say!

Yep.  I bought more. I promise all of these did not come from under my bed.

If you viewed my Green and Turquoise Frames and my White Frames, you know they couldn’t possibly all fit under my bed!

Freshening a frame or mirror with paint is such an easy project and the results are amazing. Add some burlap detail or some seasonal fabric to “kick it up a notch” as Emeril says.

Here are the frames before. I painted these in the Owen Workshop.  I love our workshop. I’m so happy we had it built.

It’s going to take a lot of painted frames to pay for it Laughing out loud!!!!!!

I used to sit on the hard concrete floor of our carport and paint. Now I can put these frames and other things on the sawhorses and plywood my Technical Specialist (aka hubby) put together. With this set-up, I can move my work area around if I need to. I also have plenty of floor space for storing and painting my furniture pieces.

When a highly detailed vintage frame is in good condition I  just dry-brush a little paint on for an amazing affect. It takes about two minutes and is super easy.

I’m working on some furniture pieces too, really.

I have a custom piece in process and another piece with CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk/Clay paint.

I should have the CeCe piece ready for a photo shoot tomorrow and the custom piece later in the week.

Would love to hear what you think of the frames.

Have a great week.
