On most Fridays Ray and I have our two granddaughters for the day. We didn’t have them today and we sure missed them. Those little girls keep us hopping and they always make us smile
So, that meant I had to actually do some work today. Ya’ll know that dusting I’ve been talking about for weeks. Well, I got one room done today!!! I did a little more than dusting though. Our living room was a disaster. Sofi’s toys were thrown in a corner; quilts from last weeks photo shoot were stacked in the floor; things to take to the shop were sitting here and there waiting to be tagged; and so on and so on and so on. You get the picture right?
Ray helped me move my Cabinet back into the house so I could store all the quilts away. I really love that cabinet. Did you guys get a look at my Cabinet makeover using Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Tricycle? If not click on over!
I decided to store all of Miss Sofi’s Toys in the cedar chest/coffee table. That is the one’s that would fit. The others are stowed neatly, almost to where they can’t be seen.
And I gathered all the things for the shop and piled them in a central location. A little dusting, a little vacuuming, a little rearranging of accessories and I was done. With one room. How much work do ya’ll really expect me to do in one day?
Then I invited my husband to take a trip with me to the Springfield Antique Barn. It’s about 40 minutes away and I don’t get up there much. I was looking for some furniture pieces to paint but didn’t have any luck.
I took pictures of things that struck my fancy………
antique chippy corner cabinet
love the colors
starched and ironed
i love tassel fringe
I wanted this kitchen scale but it was over my budget.

A good way to end the day??
