How To Upcycle Bottles With Dollar Tree Decals

Simple projects, such as upcycling glass bottles and terra cotta pots with Dollar Tree decals, are fun and a great way to add seasonal decor to your home on a budget.
We all have glass jars and bottles from finished foodstuffs, liqueurs, or wine bottles taking up space in our storage areas. Pull those pieces out and repurpose them into unique, fun pieces in a matter of minutes.
We aren’t talking about a permanent makeover. Change paint colors, decals, or stickers with the change of seasons. Or remove the decals and use the bottles for something else.
I buy decals just about every time I walk into Dollar Tree. They come in handy for a wide range of projects. I’ve even decorated my Mom’s kitchen cabinets with Dollar Tree sunflower decals and, later, her nursing home room. As I mentioned earlier, the decals are easily removable and non-permanent.
I painted and decorated a few terra cotta pots also. Terra cotta is one of my favorite neutral colors and sometimes I don’t bother to paint the pots….just decorate them.
The green leaf and yellow flower decal was leftover from a prior project where I painted and decorated a paint can. The colors really pop against the brown liqueur bottle.
I added a butterfly decal to the side of the bottle for extra wow!
Next I worked on the smaller bottles. I think this one was a spice jar and I love the red lid – flower decals all the way around.
The salt and pepper shaker is covered in flower stems and butterflies. The Dollar Tree decals are only $1.25 per sheet, and there are numerous things you can do with them.
Decorate a child’s bedroom or your bathroom mirror. The decals are easy to remove when you get tired of them.
I bought a couple of sticker books too. The frogs and toadstools scream flower pot!
Another sticker book.
I volunteered to teach a craft class to a few ladies who were part of a special program. We painted terra cotta pots and decorated them with painted designs and decals. These are the pots I painted.
The blue and the pink paint samples were oops paints. At 50 cents a jar, they were a deal. I check the ‘oops’ paint shelf when I shop at Home Depot and Lowe’s.
I loved this colorful decal.
So I used the same design on two pots!
The pink color called for the fun frog and snail stickers.
The bottles were a little more classy looking after adding the decals. The brown bottle contained orange liqueur. It seemed appropriate to add the orange flower stems.
It looks like the blue flower stems and butterflies were my favorites. I went crazy with them on the salt shaker.
Take a shopping trip to Dollar Tree and gather a few decals. This is not a sponsored post for Dollar Tree I just enjoy shopping the store and finding neat stuff to DIY with.
I noticed after taking photos and posting them that I didn’t get a good view of the stickers on the large clear bottle so I took another one.
What do you think? Are you ready to decal something? Leave a note if you have time and thanks for being here, Kathy
Will be getting some stickers/decals from Dollar Tree! I have plenty of bottles I can do! Thanks!
