Chandelier Repurpose Idea With Dollar Tree Fall Decor

Create a unique hanging candleholder or decorative seasonal decor using an old brass chandelier.
Today is Thrift Store Decor Tour Day, and I repurposed a brass chandelier into a fun seasonal fall display using florals and mini pumpkins from Dollar Tree. Oh, I added glittery bats too!
The brass chandelier was an online auction purchase, and the price was only $3. I love old chandeliers because there are so many things you can do with them. I especially love the ones with the hanging crystal teardrops.
The JTS separated the heavy chain link at the top so I could remove the bell-shaped piece that fits against the ceiling when hanging. Then, I removed the electrical wiring from the chain.
You may remember these floral stems from the upcycled quilt wreath I made last month. I bought several of the stems because they are so colorful.
I dug through my stash of stuff looking for candles to match the flower stems. I didn’t have a lot to choose from. The orange and peach candles were the wrong shades.
I put the blue candles in the light bulb cups on the chandelier.
Then, I just laid the uncut stems on the chandelier to see how they looked with the candles.
I decided to make another trip to Dollar Tree and look what I found! The blue mini pumpkins and the glittery bats matched the floral stem colors perfectly.
I set the pumpkins in the lightbulb cups and laid the floral stems on the chandelier to see how they looked together.
I added in the bats, too, and I liked the look.
Next, I cut the floral stems apart with a pair of wire cutters and hot-glued them to the chandelier, trying to place them in a pleasing arrangement.
The pumpkins sit nicely in place so I didn’t glue them down. They actually had clips on them, but I didn’t use them.
While I was putting the display together and using the hot glue gun, I hung the chandelier from a shepherd’s hook in the yard at the back of the workshop. Once I finished the chandelier display, I hung it in a tree beside the shop.
The bats had clips on them, and I clipped them to the blue leaves and the brass hanging chain. The total cost for the “new” Fall decor was right at $10. You couldn’t find anything prettier at TJMaxx for that price.
I love this repurposed chandelier display so much, maybe because blue and orange are one of my favorite color combinations.

Very cool Kathy.
I like that you didn’t paint your chandelier! The $$$ Tree has the best stuff. I was shopping there today.

What a fun way to create something special for your outdoor space. It is just so adorable and welcoming. Those little sweater pumpkins are perfect!
The colors are gorgeous! I’m loving your orange and blue fall look this year!
I would not have put those colors together but they are beautiful! Different from the same old fall colors, love it.
