By using special paints and specific techniques, these women are taking part in the mantra of today’s decor: reclaim, reuse, repurpose and re-imagine. They take furniture that may not look so chic — a set of old chairs or a dresser in a standard wood stain — and paint them in various shades to look as though their natural finishes.
