Burlap Garland DIY

Tuesday, August 20th, 2013

Who doesn’t love burlap.

Who doesn’t love an easy diy project.

Burlap Garland Diy Project

For this garland I used jute string, red burlap, brown burlap and white chenille torn from an old bedspread.

This is a fun project for the kids or grandkids. So simple.

I cut strips from the fabric with out measuring anything. Then I tied them to the jute, alternating the fabric strips.

See…. that’s it!

You can tie the strips any length apart that suits you and also cut the strips different lengths.

The simple burlap garland is not as time consuming as the Burlap, Lace, Linen, and Chenille Rag Garland I made a few months ago.

The beauty of this project is that you can use any fabric, any colors, patterns, etc.

endless possibilities

Love the red, white, and blue color combo Smile

And the garland looks great with my Nautical Chest of Drawers.

  5. Love the simplicity of the garland, and the colors look amazing against that turquoise!

The garland is cute but what I really love is the distressed turquoise wall in the background. We did this to an accent wall in our house and have never seen another like it until now.

  7. […] I did proclaim this love week…..hence the hearts and red garland. […]
