Farmhouse Style Jewelry Organizer
I made my jewelry organizer a couple of weeks ago.
The Home Depot challenged me and 9 other DIY bloggers to make our own unique version of the jewelry organizer shown in the photo above.
Farmhouse Style Jewelry Organizer
I decided to go kind-of modern and kind-of farmhouse. Yep, try to figure that one out. My first thought was to paint the jewelry organizer white so I could hang it in any of the bedrooms. Then I decided plain old white was just too dull so I left a bit of the wood unpainted. Natural wood décor seems to be a thing now. Right now I have the jewelry organizer hanging in the “granddaughter’s bedroom’ but I may move it to another room later on.
I taped off the areas of the wood that I wanted to leave natural by applying two strips of tape side by side. No measuring. I do things the easiest way possible. I’ll share the whole project tutorial with you in a week or two.
The Home Depot offers workshops at all of their store locations. There are three types of workshops: Do-It-Yourself (DIY), Do-It-Herself (DIH), and a workshop just for KIDS. You can learn how to build décor projects, how to make easy home repairs and how to operate tools through demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. For complete details and all workshop dates click here…http://workshops.homedepot.com.

Love this idea. I recently bought for $5 an old wood CD wood storage container. I am using it for my bracelets and earrings. I love the old world 70’s look. LOL
Love it Kathy! The white and wood tone combo is great for any space.
Good morning Kathy! What a super cute idea leaving the natural wood. Have a wonderful day!!!
Thank you JaneEllen. If you live near a Home Depot you should go to the workshop. They are such fun!
I could sure use one of these to make my jewelry much more accessible when getting ready to go anywhere. Have most of my jewelry in small plastic containers from $ store but am always digging to find right container with what am looking for. Have couple hangers in closet already with some jewelry hanging.
Your hanger looks really nice, love natural wood strips, smart idea.
Have great week
Love it Kathy – super cute with the natural wood stripe through it!
