Wintery Christmas Scene
When I get ready to make a Christmas project of any kind, I gather bits and pieces of Christmas decorations I think might fit my project plan. For the snow scene in the large bowl/jar above, I set miniature ornaments and small trees on top of a layer of Epsom Salt.
Mod Podge Snowy Luminaries
Cristina, from Remodelacasa, covered jars with Mod Podge and then rolled them in Epsom Salts to create beautiful luminaries. The addition of red berries made them perfect for Christmas decorating.
Shaker Christmas Displays
- Give your Holiday Hostess a DIY snow scene in a shaker.
Miniature decor is so fun. Salt and pepper shakers are fun to work with but you have to be sure the shaker opening is large enough to fit your decor into.
Snowmen Ornaments
Snowmen are a favorite decor item not only at Christmas but also throughout the winter season. These cute Epsom Salts Snowmen Ornaments from Mad In Crafts can be displayed for three or four months.

Mason Jar Snow Scene
I had a bit of trouble getting the camper from Dollar Tree into the mason jar. I had to shift it in different ways until it finally fit. You don’t need a vintage jar with a metal lid to make this cute scene. A new jar works just as well. Add any decor you like in the jar then fill with Epsom Salts.
Winter Scene In A Gumball Machine
The red gumball machine is a perfect decorating piece for Christmas. Create a snowy winter wonderland in the globe that will bring a smile to anyone’s face. I made this cute scene a few years ago, and we still bring the gumball machine out every year.
Apothecary Jar Snow Scene
An apothecary jar is the perfect shape to display a single bottle brush tree. First fill the jar with Epsom salts and add a white tree. White works best in this case. The simplicity of the clear jar and lid with the contents all in white is just right. Add a ribbon or not!
