Antique Bottles From The Auction

I have some goodies to share with you today. I bought a few things from an online auction this week and went to my favorite junk shop yesterday.

You might recognize the junk shop Butler’s Antiques, located in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. I’ve been scrounging through this shop for years. I always find a few things to bring home.

I bought the vanity chair and the side table to the left of the chair.

I also bought the blue pieces and a few more things in this photo.

The vintage floor lamp was at the shop the last time I was there. I guess no one wants it. I’ve bought one before and put a large candle in the middle holder. But for $20 I passed this one up.

This is the mirror I bought. I already recreated it and you can see it on this month’s Thrift Store Decor Day  (March 13) !

The salt and pepper shakers are so cute but I’m having a hard time getting them clean.

The pot is bigger than it looks in the photo and heavy too. The ruffled lip is chipped off on one side but I still like the pot.

I also bought a carton of antique bottles for $7 at the auction.

Old Clover green glass whiskey bottle

There are some really old bottles in the box and this cool green liquor bottle. You guys know how much I love green.

I’ve never seen a bottle like this one. It has a porcelain and cork stopper! The metal cap has a shamrock stamp on the top and the glass has shamrocks embossed all over it.

I researched the bottle on google and found out it is an Old Clover Whiskey Bottle probably from the 1920s. I’m going to hang on to it for a while. I got more than my $7 worth with just this bottle so I’m happy!

This dark bottle has Ferro China Bisleri Milano written on the side and bottom. After researching it, I believe it is from around the 1880s and contained “Bitters”.

This glass bottle has a greenish tint and reads Clicquot Club Beverages Millis, Mass on the front. I believe it is from the very early 1900s. I have 11 bottles total and plan to keep 3 of them.

  1. I love the shamrock bottle, perfect for St. Patty’s Day! I wish we had a place like Mr. Butler’s where I live – lucky you. Your projects inspire me to dig through my own stuff.

  2. I love the green shamrock bottle. Hopkinsville is on my list, I live in KY and need to go browse this fabulous shop. Always enjoy seeing all the treasures you find.

  3. I have a large, 28 inches across, Cliquot Club bottle cap sign that I’ve had for years. I’ve never seen one of their bottles. What a fun find! The cap has been hanging on my wall for years. I wish I could attach a picture for you.
