We still have snow.
How about ya’ll?
This is the third day college classes have been canceled for me.
You would think I could get a lot of stuff accomplished since I’ve been home all this time.
I haven’t left the house since Sunday.
I have a couple of projects completed but still behind on homework and thanks to the awesome JTS the housework is being kept up.
He really takes care of me.
Do you remember the post from yesterday about how to make pop top tab hangers?
This is the front side of the project…
I didn’t like the way the project turned out the first time so I took it back to the workshop for revisions.
Originally I just had the two Hobby Lobby knobs on the sides as necklace hangers.
It looked a little weird when I hung the organizer because there was all this empty space between the necklaces hanging on the knobs on each end.
I added two small nails to the center area to even things out.
I started the project with this piece of reclaimed architecture purchased at the Nashville Flea Market.
I was going to use one of the curtain thingies in the middle of the wood for a hanger.
When I got ready to put it on I decided the curtain thingy was too over powering for the wood.
The scale was just off!
I freshened the wood with hemp oil.
You can see the difference where I started using the hemp oil on the right side.
When I changed plans I looked around the shop and found the daisy I used in the Coral Dresser photo shoot.
I hot glued it to the middle of the wood.
I store the hot glue gun and glue sticks in this box.
When I get ready to use the glue gun the box is great for keeping glue from getting all over everything and the glue gun also hangs on the corner of the box just perfectly.
Next I drilled holes for the knobs.
This is the back side where I used the pop tabs as hangers and added cushions on the edges for wall protectors.
The two additional nuts on the sides are where the screws for the knobs came through from the front.
The JTS was kind enough to cut the screws down so they wouldn’t rub the wall.
They were a tad long.
How do you like the mom and dad from the girls doll house?
The mom looks a little frazzled with her hair a mess and those wild eyes.
Typical look for a mom, right?
Do you like the necklace organizer?
I think it’s kind of cute.
The granddaughters will like it.
I’m trying to add more details about how the projects are made.
Do ya’ll find that helpful or is it too much info?
Leave a comment please.
I love your input!
