You guys know how I love to make flower planters/containers/displays out of my fun junky finds. I spruced up a recent find and now have a new addition to my front porch.

The JTS bought the once-upon-a-time potty at an auction. The “potty” part had been removed and a solid board added for the seat.

How To Use Spray Paint Indoors

The day I found time to paint the chair it was raining. I set up the HomeRight Small Spray Shelter in the workshop and went to work.

The spray paint was contained in the shelter and nothing in the workshop ended up turquoise….except for the chair….and the spray shelter. The spray shelter can be placed on a table but I like doing things the hard way. It’s habit for me to sit on the floor and paint.

I have a short video of the complete process…only one minute in length.

Next time I’m going to sit the shelter on a table. Try something different for a change.

I completed the project in one afternoon.

Now my pretty yellow flowers have the perfect front porch perch. The spray shelter is so handy. You don’t need a workshop to use it. Set it up in the garage, under the carport, on a porch or balcony….just about anywhere.

  1. I want to make some cute candle holders out of mason jars, I think the spray shelter would perfect so I don’t make my usual mess.

  2. would love to win since it is compact! i could use it easily & store it easily! thanks for a chance~

  3. I have a Home Right sprayer, and it’s great in three seasons, but windy weather and Winter when I can’t paint outdoors that shelter would be a welcome addition to my painting products.

  4. I just love my spray shelters I have the small one and was able to paint something in my garage without it going everywhere! I also bought the big shelter and I just used it in my front yard to spray some shelves for my living room. Good luck to readers whoever wins it is going to love it!

  5. I don’t remember using it myself but I do remember my siblings using it! I’d never have remembered that without seeing it here.

That would be a great way to paint ‘smalls’ inside. I think it would also be great for using spray adhesive – I usually wait for a good weather day so I can take it outdoors. Here in the northeast during the winter, one can wait months for those conditions….

  6. I will immediately date myself, but I remember a chair exactly like that, including the bear on the back. I actually remember using one.

  7. Kathy, I can’t believe how fast you painted that cute chair. I always get drips when using spray paint. I think I have a heavy hand. How much does the spray shelter cost? I’m on the second floor and that would be great for me, while I’m painting on the balcony. Does any other store sell these?

  8. Possibly but it would be hard to store. The HomeRight Spray Shelter folds up neatly in a flat little package.

  9. Love this product! I paint all the time but when the snow comes wasn’t sure what I was going to do. This would be great !

  10. I LOVE the potty chair & the color is perfect. At the Vintage Bazar last year I saw the exact same potty chair. I wanted to buy it & use it for a plant stand ( great minds think alike?) but didn’t. I was dreading my husbands reaction if I brought it home as I had already purchased so many other unusual items. Hopefully I’ll find another potty chair & I will snap it up in a heartbeat!
