Easy DIY Magazine Wall Display

I have tons of magazines and I used to throw some away occasionally…but I love my magazines!

So I brought in two of my rusty crates from the workshop, purchased some clipboards, and went to work.

disclosure…no magazines were defaced in the process of this makeover

wall before Petticoat Junktion

This area of the wall in my den looked like this before the magazine invasion.

In the past I’ve used numerous small tables, toys, etc. on the floor here.

The wall needed a makeover and my magazines needed their own special space Smile

The clipboards came from Wal-Mart.

The magazines fit fine on the clipboards…even the larger ones.

I used really small nails and didn’t measure a thing…just eye-balled it.

I did pretty good didn’t I?

Another of my loves is old metal crates.

I counted 90 something magazines in the crates…with room for a lot more.

I bet those crates will hold close to 300 magazines.

I thought about framing some magazine covers but then I would have to cut the magazines up…no.

This way I can switch out the magazines in the clipboards without any problems and they are easy to take down and read.

I’m a genius.

What do you guys think….not about the genius part….about the display?

Leave me a comment.

I keep my magazines in an old wire basket….perfect for them to lay side by side…I like the clipboard idea….I use them when I do embroidery for the instructions….that way I don’t “lose” them….

Great way to keep your magazine’s organized. I have a hard time throwing magazine’s away and my husband is worse than me with his motorcycle magazine’s. Guess I will start shopping for some metal crates. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Jen, Someone on Facebook says it looks like a Doctors office display…and I can see that. I think it fits so well on that little wall space…it looks ok…until I come up with another idea 😉

  8. […] This isn’t a new idea. I’ve seen photos of similar projects all over the internet and also in magazines. Some of them are fancied up with a little bling. I didn’t pull out my bling yesterday so this […]
