10 Minute Junk Decor

Thursday, February 20th, 2014

Good Morning!

I’m loving this warmer weather. It’s a little rainy but I can deal with that.

How’s the weather where you are?

Hope it’s nice.

Ok, enough weather talk…I have a quick post for you and an even quicker project!

rusty junk baskets

I found these cool baskets at the Nashville Flea Market long ago…really long ago.

I’ve held on to them because you guys know how much I love rusty junk. I just couldn’t let them go.

Sometimes they appear in my furniture photos and sometimes I get them out and try to think of fun things to do with them.

making junk decor

I got them out this weekend and made a quick and easy junk project.

I stocked up on white flowers while I was at Michaels on Sunday so that gave me an idea.

I pulled the flower heads from the stem and taped them onto the baskets from the back.

Not very pretty I know but the masking tape will hold forever…or at least until I’m tired of the décor…

junk treasures

The two junk treasures are hanging on my kitchen wall.

Such a simple project.

I really like them!

What about you?

Leave me a little note below.

I love hearing from you.

You only have to leave your name (first name is ok) and your email address, then your comment.

Love the baskets and a perfect selection of flowers. You do such. You do wonderful work why don’t you swap out the not so good art and replace it with more of your own creations? Give yourself lots of credit! Have a great day!

  3. Lovely!

As for the weather… The weather is rarely actually BAD in Southern California? ;-)

Weather was beautuful here in Florida. I even painted a furniture piece that turned out real cute!

  8. Gloria says:

Smart and effective! It works because the delicate texture of the flower contrasts so well with the rusty metal. Brilliant!
