Hi Guys,
I shared pictures of my stash of frames and mirrors in an earlier post where I admitted to stowing them under the bed. Well I finally finished prettying them up! I have to say that beautyfying ( yes I made that word up) mirrors or empty picture frames are easy as pie. I can paint and distress a frame in the wink of an eye.

It took me probably, oh, an hour and a half to paint these. I used to put painters tape around the frame to keep paint off the mirror but I learned it’s less time consuming to just take the paint off the mirror with a little Simple Green after the frame is dry.
The next day I distressed them with my handy-dandy electric sander. FYI, if you accidently sand the mirror, it will distress also. Something I learned in a prior project. Just thought I would share that info in hopes that you want ruin a mirror the way I did!
I simply dry-brushed this detailed frame.

The turquoise and the green are colors I custom mixed.
Ready to tag and take to the shop.
Anyone out there have a special technique for mirrors or frames?

I am loving that green one in the back. Love that etching on the mirror. I am sure they will sell fast:)
I love the colors you used! What a great collection! I would love to see them grouped together on a wall!
Lovin' those colors! Gorgeous frames. Where did you score all of those? I check goodwill and yard sales but I can never find anything that cute.
Oh, I'll ya, paint is a magical thing =) They look great!
Wow! It's a huge difference! I really like the colours.

Hi, I love all your gorgeous frames. I'm inspired to gather mine up and work on them…Connie
Love the colors that you used! I have a collection that I need to tackle as well! Thanks for the inspiration!
These look fantastic – are the mirrors vintage/antique (the really heavy ones)?
I have an old, round mirror with a wood tone painted onto the mirror itself (like a frame). Does anyone have any idea of the style/significance/value?
Thanks for any info.
I’m sorry but I have no idea. I don’t think I’ve seen one like that.
