Red white and blue home decor doesn’t always have to include stars and stripes and it doesn’t have to be seasonal. I decorate with these colors year round. The project I have for you today is a simple blue vase with red geraniums and a vintage white beaded necklace decoration, any season decor. Also our Thrift Store Decor Team is sharing home decor, thrifty DIY, recipes, and new projects, all with the red white and blue color scheme.
I bought the blue Belgium vase at a yard sale right down the road from my house. It and several other items were mine for $12.
This year I bought several baskets of red Geraniums from a local flower stand. I was watering and deadheading the gorgeous red blooms one day when I got the idea to put a stem or two in the blue vase. Then I decided it needed a bit of white for the Summer season. I slipped a necklace strand from my junk jewelry stash over the neck of the vase and now I had a red, white, and blue display for any season.
But then just to make it seasonal I painted a few wood stars with white acrylic paint and hot glued them to the vase after I removed the necklace.
Now I have a simple red, white, and blue display for the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, or Labor Day. See how easy that was! I bet you have a few red, white, and blue pieces you can put together and display this Summer.

This is off the red, white, and blue post. I would like to paint my old enamel topped table. What paint would you suggest? Thanks
